If you’ve completed steps 1 and 2 your brand has clarity and purpose.
And with step 3 you’ve detailed How you are going to help your ideal customer.
So, you might be wondering, what is step 4 to bringing your brand to life?
Before I go any further, with step 4, I want to let you know I’ve created a worksheet so you can easily follow along with this series:
For the worksheet, go to our 6 Steps to Bring Your Brand to Life Worksheets and click on “4-Brand Master Plan Worksheet”
Step 4 is Creating your Brand’s Master Plan—What, exactly, will your brand deliver?
Your brand has focus.
You’ve given your brand purpose, explaining Why you are doing it.
And you have specified How you will help your ideal customer.
Now it’s time to layout your What, in detail.
To illustrate, let’s go back to my step 3, where I stated the following: To bring my brand to life, I will…
• Work one-on-one with my ideal client as consultant, coach, and advisor, to help them advance their business with branding and marketing done right.
• Offer an abundance of strategies, tactics, and real world advice in the form of free step-by-step blog posts (like this one), eBooks, talks, etc.
• Continue to grow a complete online presence that supports everything mentioned above.
Step 4—your Brand Master Plan—expands on this in greater detail.
Again, the best way for me to explain this, is to show you my step 4: Writing out my Brand Master Plan—detailing What my brand will deliver.
1. Consulting and Coaching:
I offer consulting. My Define, Develop, Deliver marketing framework is a collaborative approach built to help my clients realize their vision through branding and marketing done right.
I get to know my client and help them uncover their brand DNA. We then work to find their ideal customer, and get ideas, messages and visuals working in harmony to reach them in the form of a marketing system that moves the needle in their business.
2. Free Digital Resources:
My branding product suite starts with an eBook about the 7 Steps to Small Business Marketing Success, an eBook with advice on finding the right customers, the blog series you are reading, and much more in the works.
And I will provide a constant stream of advice and guidance through blogposts, emails, talks, and webinars, all geared to help small to medium sized businesses advance their brand, create effective marketing, and grow their business.
